Ann Marie C. Petrey focuses on insurance coverage nationwide and brings to her clients a combination of insight and knowledge of coverage issues, claims management, and risk management, as well as her regulatory/compliance perspective gained from her work as a law firm attorney and as insurance companies’ manager and counsel, including regulatory and policy wording counsel. Ann Marie has in-depth experience in representing U.S. and international clients in sophisticated insurance and reinsurance matters and is known for her legal writing and analysis, drafting of contract/policy wording, and representation of Insurers for regulatory issues and complaints before Insurance Departments.  Ann Marie has authored articles explaining thorny insurance-related issues, such as anti-concurrent causation and ensuing loss. She has also lectured on insurance-related topics for the American Conference Institute.

Ann Marie started her career at an international law firm where her diverse practice included litigation and claims management as well as insurance, reinsurance, corporate, and regulatory matters.  Ann Marie also worked at a U.S. commercial property and casualty insurer as a Claims Manager and Counsel. Thereafter, Ann Marie was Director of Contract Wording at a major reinsurance underwriting manager.

Ann Marie enjoys long walks in nature, entertaining family and friends, attending rock concerts and plays on Broadway, and traveling domestically and abroad.
