Eric Leibowitz has extensive experience in complex insurance coverage and commercial litigation in state and federal courts nationwide. He has experience in all phases of litigation, ranging from complaint to motion practice to discovery to appeal.

Eric’s legal practice primarily focuses on the evaluation of first-party property damage claims by insureds and the defense of insurance carriers in breach of contract and bad faith coverage litigation. Eric also prepares coverage opinions on all types of first-party property coverage, including fine arts, inland marine and cargo, and contingency losses, as well as third-party liability coverage. He is experienced in conducting examinations under oath and has a strong track record in resolving complex insurance matters through all forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Eric has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, including entertainment, pharmaceutical, insurance, technology and shipping. He has also handled a variety of defense cases including construction defect, civil rights, and professional liability litigation. Eric’s practice began as an associate for many years at White & Case, where he litigated intellectual property matters.

Eric has written articles and taught CLE classes on a wide variety of insurance-related issues.
