Evan Richman

Evan Richman oversees the firm’s Professional Liability, Errors and Omissions, Directors and Officers Defense Practice Group. Over the years, Evan has become known for his intelligent, creative and patient representation of condominiums, cooperatives, and their boards of managers/directors in suits filed in state and federal court. The breadth of his experience includes the litigation of claims pertaining to breaches of Proprietary Leases and By-Laws; maintenance and assessment issues; tenant-shareholder relations; breach of fiduciary duty issues; and unauthorized alterations. In addition, Evan has defended numerous discrimination claims asserted against condominiums, co-op boards and their property managers in the New York State Division of Human Rights and the New York City Commission on Human Rights.
Evan’s professional liability defense experience is wide ranging. He has defended lawyers, accountants, insurance agents, real estate agents, and other professionals. His defense of lawyers includes numerous complex legal malpractice claims arising from a wide array of underlying types of cases, including commercial litigation, real estate, personal injury, family law, and transactional matters.
Evan has also represented clients in real estate, civil and commercial cases, insurance coverage and commercial litigation matters at both the trial and appellate levels.
